I will dominate 'serious combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Former two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice is still one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
